This is a post from Alex Baker not Mrs. Poff
Today, we did a real dig after the days of spending time in the classroom. I think all the classroom time paid off in the real dig. In the classroom we learned about the different types of pottery, Corrugated, Grey Ware and Red Ware. And we learned about the different types of artifacts, pottery sherds, bones, and projectile points. I could really transfer the hands-on learning from the classroom, into the real dirt that we worked in. The real dig was the most fun because we got to spend time with real archeologists, and they got to teach us about their super fun job.
